Canopy Growth has released the company’s first-ever CBD vape. Called whisl, the vape line features three different detachable pod formulas for different effects. Whisl will be exclusive to the more than 3,000 Circle K convenience stores nationwide before hitting other retailers, marking Canopy Growth’s largest national retail launch.

Canopy Growth is a producer of both cannabis and cannabinoid-derived products, including flower, oils, edibles, and topicals. CBD, the non-intoxicating chemical in cannabis that provides a relaxing effect, has grown rapidly in recent years. The global CBD market is expected to be valued at nearly $3 billion in 2021, and grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of around 51% until 2030.

“At Canopy Growth, we are pioneering the concept of using CBD to help consumers manage their moods at any given time of day,” said Andy Lytwynec, vice president of global vape business at Canopy Growth. “With whisl, we want to empower consumers to quickly achieve focus, calmness or prepare for sleep with a modern CBD solution that is fast-acting and can fit seamlessly into anyone’s daily routine.”

Whisl offers three uniquely formulated options to help consumers dial in their desired effect — focus, calm, or winding down before bed — as their needs and activities shift throughout the day. The Tune In pod aims to help focus on the task at hand, the Intermission pod helps relax throughout the day, and the Fade Out pod helps the user wind down and get ready for bed.

Each whisl pod contains 200 mg of premium CBD isolate, a purified form of CBD, sourced from licensed hemp providers within the United States and no THC. The vapes come in two colorways, warm grey and deep blue, and feature a rechargeable aluminum battery and a host of safety and quality features including automatic shut-off temperature control, precise glass-atomizer heating, UL-certification, and rigorous third-party testing and inspection.

The MSRP of the whisl starter kit is $39.99, and an individual pod is $19.99 per package.

If it takes off, Whisl could be the second big brand to come from Canopy Growth, which also markets the Martha Stewart CBD line of products, as well as sparkling CBD beverage brand Quatreau, which is a top seller in Canada and recently made its U.S. debut.
