Elixinol launches Good Night CBD Capsules

salazar

Elixinol’s latest product is looking to give consumers a better night’s sleep. The Westminster, Colo.-based company’s new Good Night CBD Capsules combine full-spectrum hemp extract with a low dose of melatonin to create a combination that supports healthy sleep.

Currently, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say that one-third of U.S. adults say they usually get less than the recommended amount of sleep. The CDC also notes that lack of sleep can contribute to risk for such health issues as cardiovascular disease, obesity and depression.

“Many of our customers already use our products to help them relax, unwind and ready their bodies for sleep,” said Tom Siciliano, CEO, Americas at Elixinol. “That said, we wanted to create a capsule that specifically addresses sleep. We are excited to introduce Good Night to the market.”

The capsules each contain 15 mg of full-spectrum CBD and 2 mg of melatonin, both of which are blended with MCT coconut oil. The full-spectrum oil ensures that complementary cannabinoids, flavonoids and terpenes are present to enable what the company called “the entourage effect.” Each bottle, which retails for $54.99, contains 900 mg total of CBD in 60 capsules.

“We were very thoughtful when we formulated this product and took a research-backed approach to the amount of melatonin,” Siciliano said. “There is a lot of data suggesting that taking more than five milligrams of melatonin for the average person will likely result in grogginess and could even have the opposite effect and cause sleeplessness. Our capsules have two milligrams of melatonin, so people can try one capsule and dial in their desired serving size, without wasting an entire day of feeling foggy.”
