Flower Power Coffee is looking to expand its presence in the CBD coffee category as it launches a Series A funding round. The Framingham, Mass.-based company is looking to raise $2 million to fund expanded sales operations, marketing and channel support.

Flower Power said it has developed a patent-pending process that brews CBD coffee from pods and can guarantee 25 mg of CBD in every brewed cup. The company said other companies in the category lose CBD during brewing.

Flower Power also said it is focused on delivering a quality cup of coffee, putting 13 g of artisan roasted, high-altitude coffee beans in each pod.

"When developing our products, we set out to establish new standards for quality, taste, accuracy and truth in labeling,” Flower Power CEO Chuck Siegel said. “We've taken every measure to ensure premium quality, from the selection of our roasting partners to our rigorous quality control and lab testing, and we're set up for mass-market scale."
