As it makes inroads in the CBD tinctures and gummies with its Martha Steward CBD brand, Canopy Growth also is looking to be a leader in ready-to-drink CBD beverages. The latest brand from the New York-based company is Quatreau, a line of CBD sparkling water.
Quatreau’s debut in the United States follows its success in Canada, where it currently is the country’s top-selling ready-to-drink CBD beverage. With 20 mg of hemp-based CBD, the company said Quatreau offers a functional sugar-free drink in four flavors — cucumber + mint, passionfruit + guava, ginger + lime and blueberry + acai.
"We have proven our beverage strategy in Canada, where we are currently the market share leader in CBD-infused ready-to-drink beverages, said Canopy Growth President and Chief Product Officer Rade Kovacevic. "Beverages are fueling growth in the CBD category and we believe this product will resonate with U.S. consumers looking for a naturally flavored, zero sugar option."
The company is rolling out Quatreau stateside with an astrology-inspired digital and social campaign, inspired by the debut coinciding with the Age of Aquarius, the zodiac’s water-bearer, and featuring Astrology Zone astrologist Susan Miller.
